Confident Cycling for Families Class!
Even if your child knows how to ride a bike, your family may still have questions and concerns about riding. Join 4J’s Safe Routes to School Program to learn basic traffic skills as a family, as well as how to properly fit a helmet, size a bicycle for a child, carry things on a bicycle and perform a bicycle safety check. You’ll also learn about gear, clothing and lighting and how to correctly lock a bike. We’ll spend half our time indoors and the last portion will be held on the basketball court for skills and drills before a fun ride on neighborhood streets.

This class is for parents AND kids so all participants are asked to bring a bicycle and helmet with them to class. Some reduced cost helmets will be available. Anyone requiring a loaner bicycle for the class is asked to state that in the comments section of the registration form.

The class is geared towards families with children 5-13 years old. The class is free and open to all families but registration at is required.

Office Reminders

Picking Your Student Up Early?
If it’s a pre-planned appointment just send a note with your student. They show the note to their teacher to be excused from class and then they drop the note by the office to check out. They can then be in the office waiting for you! If you forget to send a note or have something unexpected come up please call the office with as much advanced notice as possible so we have time to locate your student and get them up to the office. This helps eliminate unnecessary class interruptions.

ParentVue is available for you to be able to monitor your student’s grades. Activation code information was sent home with your student at the beginning of October. If you did receive your activation code, please contact the front office. ParentVue is now available for Android or iPhone users just go to the app store and download for free.

Contacting Teachers
Do you have questions about how your student is doing? You can reach teachers through an email or a phone call. Simply go to the Staff Directory page on the Kelly website. There you will find staff email addresses and phone numbers.
