Ballet Folklorico “Mexico En La Piel Academia”, directed by Manuel Ramos has performed in many schools and community events throughout the years and are well known in the Western Washington County and Metropolitan Area. The students have perfected several segments of traditional Mexican dances from 5-6 regions in Mexico, and are working on dances from other Latin countries, incorporated with popular choreography from the United States. Mariachi del Shedd will come back to share some traditional Mexican music. Tickets are sold at the door to exchange for food items in the cafeteria.

Fall Fest Reminders

  • Costumes must not violate Kelly’s dress code and must not be culturally or ethnically insensitive.
  • No masks or objects depicting weapons.
  • Face paint is NOT allowed as it often needs to be reapplied during the school day (=distraction).
  • Clown Costumes are prohibited.
  • Due to the rhetoric and negativity created from politicals, no political costumes.
  • No cameras or phone cameras allowed.
  • Candy should not be brought to school and distributed either on the day of Halloween or the weeks following.

Students who do not follow the above guidelines will be asked to change and parents notified.

ParentVue Activation Codes
Your student should have brought home your activation code for ParentVue  a couple of weeks ago. If you didn’t receive your activation code please call the front office and we can help you.  ParentVue is a very helpful tool for parents to see a variety of information about their student.  Progress Reports are this week and if you have ParentVue you can see the grades when they are posted on Monday rather than having to wait for snail mail.

Starting October 16, Register NOW!
Duct tape projects, ceramics, engineering, cooking, sports, field trips, oh my!

Kelly Middle School, along with the City of Eugene, offers after-school activities to Kelly students throughout the school year. This after-school program primarily focuses on helping Kelly students succeed in academics by providing homework help. In addition to extra study time, the program also features enrichment classes such as art, cooking, drama, sports and more. Activities are taught by Kelly teachers, City of Eugene instructors, local service agencies, arts agencies, and qualified individuals from the community.

A nutritious snack is provided to start things off, and then kids move on to homework club and enrichment activities. Participating students who normally ride the school bus home after school at 3:30 p.m. instead ride school buses home after the last activity at 5:30 p.m.

Program offerings change regularly. Students will sign up for new rounds of classes at school, and the classes are first-come-first-served. Tuition is $50, with sliding scale fees available. No one is turned away!

Registration forms are available in the front office or click here to print the forms. Fill them out and return the forms to the office. This form gets your student signed up for the program, and they will sign up for classes at school as the program offerings change. You need only fill out this form once per school year. Even if your child was enrolled last year, you must fill out new forms.
