NEHS – Hi-Tones Camp
On Saturday, May 18th, North Eugene High School’s a cappella group, the Hi-Tones, is offering our second-annual Junior Hi-Tones Camp for 5th-8th-grade students in the Eugene/Springfield Metro Area from 9am-12pm. Junior Hi-Tones Camp is a great opportunity for 5th-8th graders to spend a fun morning with us learning a pop song with choreography and vocal percussion. We’ll learn the song together, play games, have some snacks, and get to know each other. Campers are invited to perform the song with us at our Trimester 3 Concert on Wednesday, May 29, at 7 pm in the NEHS Auditorium. Cost to participate is $10 and all proceeds go to the NEHS Choral Department.

Lane County Pedestrian Safety Project
Maxwell and North Park – High-Visibility Crosswalk and Sidewalk
Lane County is pleased to be able to improve pedestrian safety for school children and the community, thanks to funds provided by a federal grant. The funding provides for the installation of a new pedestrian-activated flashing beacon to improve the visibility of the crosswalk at the intersection of Maxwell Road and North Park Avenue and to fill in the missing sidewalk gap along the east side of North Park Avenue, from Maxwell Road to Howard Avenue. The design and public outreach process will occur in 2019 and construction in 2021. For more information:
