Conference details for November 24 & 25

Posted Date: 11/20/25 (05:41 PM)

November 24 & 25 Parent Teacher Conferences

We want to encourage most families to visit Kelly conferences in-person on a drop-in basis; we also acknowledge that some families may not have the transportation or opportunity to come in-person and we want to accommodate so that all families have a chance to talk with their students' teachers. Teachers will be sending you individual emails to schedule a virtual conference or phone call. Please communicate with the teacher directly to schedule  a time within the conference windows (see details below).

When you arrive for conferences at Kelly, we will have maps and staff available to help you find the teachers you are waiting to meet with. We are planning to provide childcare as well. Translation services will be available on-site as well. See specific schedules below for November 24 and 25.

November 24 :
Conferences available between 12:45 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Teachers will take a 30-minute dinner break from 5:00-5:30.
Teachers will also take a 15-minute break within this time, or might be away from their table briefly to talk with a family virtually.
Child care will be available from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

November 25:
Conferences available between 8:45 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
Teachers will take a 15-minute break within this time, or might be away from their table briefly to talk with a family virtually.
Child care will be available between 8:45 a.m. and 12:00 a.m.

Many of our teachers would like your student to be present for the conferences, either to present their work to you (guardian or parent), or to be part of the conference discussion.

Mentor volunteers:Kelly Middle School is looking for a new volunteer Mentor Coordinator. Our Middle School Lunchtime Mentoring Program supports at risk youth by partnering them with a Mentor for lunch once a week. Last year we had 112 students being Mentored in 4J each week. The Kelly Mentor Coordinator volunteers on Tuesdays from 12:30-1:30, and does another 30 minutes of flexible communications during the week. The volunteer Mentor Coordinator is fully trained and supported by the 4J staff Mentor Coordinator. This is a fantastic way to get involved in our community, and make a difference in the lives of young people! Please contact Kate Becker for more information:  becker_k@4j.lane.edu  541-517-0394
Bike Club at Kelly on MondaysA new club started on Mondays in collaboration with Shift Cycles in Eugene. This is an opportunity to learn about bike safety, bike repairs, and go on group rides. This is not a school sponsored activity, but will be held right after school on Mondays at Kelly.
