Kelly Middle School Oregon State Assessment Testing Scheduled for May 13-15

The Oregon Department of Education supports schools to administer annual tests in Math, English Language Arts and Grade 8 Science. These tests are used for schools to improve instruction rather than provide individual learning progress reporting for individual students. Each of those days are regular attendance days for students of any family who opts-out of OSAS testing.

8th Grade Celebration funds used for 8th Grade Field Trip

The funds allocated for our annual 8th Grade celebration immediately following the 8th grade promotion ceremony were used to partially pay for our June 4, Grade 8 field trip. We will not be offering an event for students following our 8th grade promotion ceremony described in the item above.

LAST School Day for all students June 14, 2024
Friday June 14 is the last day of the academic year for each and every student grades 6-8. In past years, many Grade 8 families have chosen to allow individual students to not attend on the day following the Grade 8 Promotion ceremony. It is always the parent choice regarding student attendance, any given day. It’s a school day and all students are welcome to attend or not attend according to family preferences and plans.
