A Message from the Principals
It has been a delight to see many students in person for Hybrid instruction this past week. If you are a student who is not on campus, please know that your teachers and other staff members miss you and your presence here on campus. We know that you will be with us again in the school building–hopefully soon–and we want you to know how much we value working with each and every one of our students in the Zooms and in the Rooms!
GO PILOTS!
Health and Safety Reminder
We ask that families please follow these guidelines to help all students stay healthy and ready to learn.
- Please do not send an ill student to school.
- Please contact your health care provider about any SERIOUS ILLNESS or if you are worried about your student’s health. If you need help in finding a healthcare provider, you may contact your local health department.
- Please notify the school if your child is diagnosed with a CONTAGIOUS DISEASE.
- Please notify the school if your student requires MEDICATIONS during school hours.
- Follow school protocols for medication at school. If your student’s illness requires antibiotics, the student must have been on antibiotics for at least 24 hours before returning to school, and longer in some cases. Antibiotics are not effective for viral illnesses.
- Please notify the school if your student has a CHRONIC HEALTH CONDITION. We will work with you to address the health condition so that the student can learn. To contact the school nurse, please email Robin Wellwood at wellwood@4j.lane.edu .
Masks – All people, both students and adults, MUST wear masks at all times while on school property. The only time students may remove their masks is during mealtimes. Gaters, bandanas, and face shields are not permitted face coverings according to Ready Schools, Safe Learners Guidance from ODE.
